While most consumers opt for champagne, the crème d la crème of the category, wine lovers should seek out more varieties in the vast world of sparkling wines. Levine exclaims that, “there are fabulous sparkling wines made around the world that are not only lovely to drink but can be more affordable than Champagne.”
Included in her guide are two wines from Langlois-Chateau, the Crémant de Loire Brut NV and the Crémant de Loire Brut Rosé NV. Like champagne, both wines are made in the Traditional Method, in which second fermentation happens inside the bottle and the subsequent lees are disgorged.
